Anonymous asked: It's great finding an easy way of creating drills and plays. Thanks for the hard work! Just one question, is it possible or would it be possible, to add more discs to the animated plays?
Glad you’re liking it! And thanks for the thanks :)
Great suggestion for adding more discs. It isn’t possible right now, but would sure help broaden the kinds of drills you could create, so it’s on the to-do list!

Today we’re happy to launch the latest feature to Playspedia: Playspedia Badges!
Badges are our way of saying thanks for contributing and helping us towards our goal of making Playspedia the best place to create and share Ultimate plays online.
Badges are also our little reward to keep you going. Thanks to your participation, people all around the world (quite literally!) are learning new strategies and picking up new tips and drills – please keep it up! Share some plays, tag them, fav them – these are just some of the ways you can score more badges.
To kick things off, we’re giving out the Playspedia Ultimate Pioneer Badge to everyone who has already either created or fav’d a play. This is a limited edition badge that we’ll continue to award to our earliest members for a limited time.
We have a variety of badges already waiting to be unlocked, visit the Badges page to see what else awaits.
And if you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to post here on the blog or send us a note at info@playspedia.com.
Happy playmaking!

Anonymous asked: Hi. I'm having problems with the “private” feature; if I give a URL to someone, they are asked for the password, and when giving the correct one, they are redirected… to the list of all public plays. Nothing I do seems to make them actually be able to see the play without making it open to the world. Is this a bug? Oh, and while I'm at it (and non-kudos to Tumblr for not allowing line breaks): Option for “go back to step N, non-animated” (for exploring alternatives) would be awesome. Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for the inquiry and feedback. I looked into the issue and see the problem. If you want to “share” a private play, you still need to “publish” it. Publishing a play essentially means it’s ready, and then by making it “private”, only users with the secret key can actually view it. We’ll look at ways of making this more intuitive.
We’re working on a major update to playspedia with a cool new feature. Stay tuned.

davidwalker629 asked: Is there a way to select multiple players and move them as a group?
Hi David,
At the moment there isn’t, but that’s a great suggestion. We’ll add that to our list of features to include. We’re working on a major update to the site so once that’s up and running we’ll be sure to look into that.
Thanks,
Andre
Anonymous asked: First, thanks for that really nice, useful and simple program !
It's great to share ultimate plays, but for now I'd like to use your work to teach some basics to beginners, which is not very interesting for the rest of the community (especially because it's in French...). It seems possible to share only with teammate with a private key, but when I'm trying, the play don't appear in the browser. Is it a bug, or did I do something wrong ?
Thanks for your answer, cheers !
Souki
Hi Souki,
Glad you like the web site. Can you send us an example private play and your account so we can look into this?
It should work, but there may be a bug. For example, here’s a test private play I have:
http://www.playspedia.com/play/view/id/10/private_key/test
Does that test play work for you?

Anonymous asked: Nice work guy(s)!
Remember a program on PC about 8 years ago that worked similar and great to see something on the web like it. Bug I found, when updating a play and saving it saves it as a completely new one. Rats. Thanks!
Aaron
Thanks for the feedback Aaron. We’ll look into that saving bug, I haven’t had the issue myself though, has it occurred every time you save?
It’s with great pleasure that I am posting the first news release for Playspedia.com. This is a quiet beta launch to get the site off the ground and start getting real users testing out the site.
The idea behind this site came from a blog I run for Ultimate Frisbee players called the “UltimateHandbook” - www.ultimatehandbook.com. After creating many animations for players to learn strategies, it became obvious that many players wanted to share their own plays. I had been running this blog site for years and have always thought about creating this possibility, but I never felt like Flash was the right medium for this. After some thinking, it made sense to create a HTML/JS based site for athletes to strategize and share their personal strategies in a “social” way.
This site is in super beta launch and will be changing a lot as I learn what you guys want. While this is only targeting Ultimate Frisbee, expect it to branch out very soon… after all athletes tend to play more than just one sport.
Cheers,
Andre Liem
